When straps need replacing
Vinyl straps take years of sun, chlorine and temperature swings. Once they turn chalky, crack at the ends, sag or snap when you sit down, they're past saving — but the frame underneath usually isn't. Restrapping gives the same chair a new life for a fraction of the price of a new set.
Straps made for years outdoors
We use U.S.-made, industrial-strength vinyl straps coated with UV and mildew inhibitors, so they keep their color and tension season after season. We do single, double-wrapped and woven strapping, as well as lace, cord and rope.
36 colors, or your own
Choose from 36 strap colors we keep in stock, or order a custom color to match your patio or club colors. We'll help you pick — see the strap color chart, or ask us to bring samples.
Done by hand in our shop
Every chair is restrapped by hand in our Milpitas shop, at the right tension and spacing for that frame. If the frame itself is rusted or faded, we can refinish it with powder coating at the same time, so it comes back looking new.
Questions we hear a lot
Is restrapping worth it compared with buying new?
For good aluminum or wrought-iron frames, almost always. Quality frames last decades; the straps are the part that wears out. Send us a photo and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth doing.
Can you match my existing strap color?
Often, yes — we stock 36 colors and can order custom colors. Send a photo or bring in a strap and we'll find the closest match.
Do I have to bring the furniture in?
No. Most customers never lift a chair: we pick up, restore the pieces in our shop and bring them back.
